Laurel Whitsett

Laurel Whitsett works full-time as acting faculty in the department while simultaneously earning a PhD in Linguistics with an ASL focus. She’s a certified interpreter, active in the theatre community, and has language-coached performers like Alice Braga (Queen of the South) and Chuck Norris (Walker, Texas Ranger).
