Why did you choose to attend UT Arlington?
- I choose to attend UT Arlington because it was close to where I live along with the neighboring elementary schools that I wanted to student teach at partnered with UTA.
What is your favorite thing about the College of Education at UT Arlington?
- My favorite thing about the College of Education is the student peers I have grown to create bonds with and make many new friends because we all have the same classes, so it makes it easier to take on each course with familiar faces. Additionally, the professors are very caring and understanding of each of their students.
Who is your favorite professor or staff member? Why?
- My favorite professor would have to be Dr. Tice. She is a wonderful and well-educated professor. She made my first semester at UTA run so smoothly because anytime I needed something whether it was for her class or in general, she was there to guide me and help me.
What class have you enjoyed the most?
- The class that I enjoyed the most was Dr. Ezell's class for Social Studies.
What activities or hobbies do you participate in outside of class?
- An activity that I participate in outside of class is representing the College of Education as an Ambassador. I attend events and promote the College of Education. Along with being an Ambassador for the College of Education, I am a Substitute teacher for Arlington ISD. When I am not in class or not attending events as an ambassador, I am in a classroom subbing.
What are your plans after graduation? When you think about your future career in education, what excites you the most?
- After graduation, I hope to have a full-time job in a great school district or if not work in the field until I am able to have my own classroom. When I think about my future career in education, I get most excited about all the students' lives that I will impact and of course, decorating my own classroom.
What is the one thing you think a prospective Education student needs to know?
- One thing I believe a prospective Education student needs to know is, you are not alone! If there is something you do not understand, your professors and peers will be there to guide you and help you understand. Our student Education community is close because we are all here for one reason, to become the best future educators!
