With over 13,438 postcards, the Jenkins Garrett Postcard Collection features a wide range of Texas cities and towns. It also includes Texas map cards, Mexican War topical cards, and much more. Jenkins Garrett was a lawyer, businessman, and philanthropist who served on the UT System Board of Regents from 1969-1975. Garrett was a longtime supporter of UTA, and gifts from him and his wife collectively make up the Jenkins Garrett Library and the Virginia Garrett Cartographic History Library, both serving as companion libraries in the University’s Special Collections.
