Magazine honored for excellence

UTA Magazine received two platinum awards last fall in the MarCom Creative Awards competition. Of 4,613 entries, about 15 percent took home platinum, the highest recognition.

The publication was honored for overall excellence in the magazine/educational institution category and in the writing/feature article category for “Mission Accomplished,” which appeared in the 2004 winter edition.

The magazine also received an Award of Excellence in the magazines/four-color category from the 2005 APEX Awards for Publication Excellence.

In last year’s National Association of Government Communicators Blue Pencil Competition, "Mission Accomplished" won first place for feature article and was part of a first-place portfolio that included “The foundation with a heart” and “Much more than a piece of paper” (both winter 2004).
