Excellence in science

Chemistry and Physics Building Ground was broken in November on the $39.9 million Chemistry and Physics Building. The 123,000-square-foot, three-story structure will house instructional and research labs and a 200-seat planetarium, creating a hub for educational excellence, scientific discovery and economic development. The building is expected to be completed in December 2005. Hailed as
“the most sophisticated in the country,” the proposed planetarium will allow virtual trips through the solar system. Efforts are under way to provide additional funding for the project. For more information, contact the Office of Development at 817-272-2584 or visit www.uta.edu/giving.
