UTA Magazine received seven awards at the spring 2004
Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District IV
conference in Houston. The publication won Grand/Gold awards in feature writing
for “Mission
Accomplished” (winter 2004) and in photography for a digitally manipulated
image that depicted stalking (spring/summer
2003). In the four-color magazines category, UTA Magazine received
Achievement/Bronze awards for overall excellence and for improvement. It also
won Achievement/Bronze awards for the illustrations that accompanied the “Making
straight A’s” story (winter 2004) and for writing collection (winter 2004).
In the visual design category for single editorial spread, UTA Magazine received
a Special/Pewter award for “Making
straight A’s.” CASE District IV includes colleges and universities in Texas,
Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mexico.
