Whereas | The University of Texas at Arlington is growing; and |
Whereas | Because of this growth there is more car traffic in busy areas of campus; and |
Whereas | One of these busy locations on campus is the intersection of West St. and Mitchell St.; and |
Whereas | Because this location could be considered dangerous because of the 'yield on green' turn lane when turning Left (North) onto West St. from Mitchell; and |
Whereas | Many cars don't get a chance to turn in a given signal cycle. |
Be It Further Resolved That | The appropriate entity consider the installation of a 'Protected Left Turn from Mitchell St. onto West St.' |
