Remarks | This resolution would be complicated to implement and students are not even interested. For this reason, resolution was killed. |
Whereas | Residents living at Meadow Run and Arbor Oaks pay their monthly rent by the unit; and |
Whereas | The monthly rent and all other apartment fees are the sole responsibility of one leaseholder at Meadow Run and Arbor Oaks; and |
Whereas | Residents under this leaseholder are in no financial obligation for any these fees even after signing a roommate agreement designed by the housing office; and |
Whereas | Timberbrook, a virtually identical apartment layout, operates through a monthly rent by the bed currently; and |
Whereas | The only differences between the apartment layouts are the slight price differences and the presence of furnishing. |
Be It Further Resolved That | The apartments of Meadow Run and Arbor Oaks charge monthly rent by the bed instead of by the unit in order to safeguard the other residents and their living accommodations when one or more residents are unable or unwilling to pay the appropriate fees. |
