Remarks | The Student Senate concurred that having the option to recycle plastic bags outweight the cons of recycling plastic bags. |
Whereas | The UTA community is highly educated with the impact our actions have on the environment; and |
Whereas | There are sustainable systems implemented to reduce our carbon footprint as a university; and |
Whereas | Students continue to use plastic bags here on campus when they buy meals at the plaza or otherwise; and |
Whereas | This contributes heavily to man-made pollution cases. |
Be It Further Resolved That | : The University of Texas at Arlington provide recycling bins for plastic bags and advertise these bins extensively in order to cut plastic waste. |
