Remarks | • Research from Suzanne Byke showed that the Library is well aware of the issue and are seeking the means to implement more charging options for students through unique and innovate ways. |
Whereas | The Library holds a high capacity of students at any given time; and |
Whereas | Many of these students bring their own laptops and technology to work on assignments; and |
Whereas | Not enough electrical outlets are available around for these students to charge their electronic devices leaving them to pack up and search for an outlet elsewhere; and |
Whereas | During peak hours and the upcoming studying for finals many students will be left looking for a source of power in the library which may be their only option for a location to study. |
Be It Further Resolved That | The Central Library provide more desks and tables with electrical outlets embedded or add portable power outlets onto each floor so students can charge their electronic devices at any location. |
