Remarks
Whereas In 2009 HB 3533 relating to "an environmental service fee at public institutions of higher education" was passed and signed into law; and
Whereas The University of Texas at Austin approved a university Green Fee at 71% in favor for a $5 fee per student per semester; and
Whereas Projects funded by the Green Fee will further UTA's goal of sustainability and advancement of Green technology; and
Whereas Projects funded by the Green Fee can create opportunities for employment, internships and volunteer activities for students, furthering education in sustainability;
Be It Further Resolved That The 2015 Tuition Review Committee consider a sustainability fee in their recommendations to President Karbhari.
