| Whereas | In previous years, students were verbally recognized for their efforts within the honors program; and |
| Whereas | This program entails that students take 24 credit hours in which they are required to take on additional projects; and |
| Whereas | These students are also required to prepare senior projects, with a mentor professor, that are presented to a panel of faculty and administrators; and |
| Whereas | Not many students are able to complete this program because of its difficulty; |
| Be It Further Resolved That | These students who are able to achieve this feat of academic excellence be verbally recognized during their commencement ceremony. |
