Whereas | The UT Arlington Central Library currently has multiple floors that require absolute quiet in order for students to have quiet space for studying and/or reading. |
Whereas | The UT Arlington Central Library is currently not using the many outdated built in phone booths that are located near each upper floors bank of elevators since a majority of students carry their own cellphones. |
Whereas | Students while studying are in need of nearby separated spaces to accept personal phone calls on their mobile phones particularly on quiet floors |
Whereas | The UT Arlington library system has already started installing community charging stations in a few select locations |
Be It Further Resolved That | The UT Arlington central library should invest in converting the outdated and unused phone booths on the upper floors of the central library to community charging stations where students may duck inside to accept personal phone calls away from the rest of the quiet library activity. |
