| Whereas | The insitution is also home to over 300 students with disabilities. |
| Whereas | UTA prides itself on accomodating students with disabilities. |
| Whereas | The University of Texas at Arlington expects the student organization(s) to pay for the services required if a student with disabilities decided to join an organization. |
| Whereas | The average cost of hiring an intrepreter for an hour during the day is $46, $64 during the evening, and $69 during the weekend. (Source-OSD) |
| Whereas | It is just not feasible for an organization to incur these costs especially since their motive is not to make profits with their organization. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The University of Texas at Arlington incur all charges related to disability services so that the affected students have the resources they need while students running the organization can focus on the purpose of the organization rather than ways to raise funds just to pay the said charges. |
