Whereas | The University of Texas at Arlington is committed to providing accommodations to students with disabilities. This is partly done through the Office of Students with Disabilities and the Adaptive Resource Center which are currently located in University Hall; |
Whereas | Students who are disabled may need an automatic door to have access to buildings; |
Whereas | The entrance closest to the Office of Students with Disabilities has a set of sliding doors followed by doors with handles that must be pulled; |
Whereas | The entrance closest to the Adaptive Resource Center does not have handicap accessible doors at all; |
Be It Further Resolved That | UT Arlington officials look at converting the entrances in University Hall closest to the Office of Students with Disabilities and the Adaptive Resource Center to be fully handicap accessible. |
