Remarks | FAILED - Not highly visible to the public according to the city. Extremely expensive ($400,000-$500,000) and towers are only painted once every 10 years. |
Whereas | Water towers are city landmarks; and |
Whereas | The city of Arlington officials want to have connections with the University and vice versa; and |
Whereas | We want to bring city officials and the University of Texas at Arlington closer together; and |
Whereas | UTA could increase its visibility by having its logo on at least one Arlington water tower; and |
Whereas | Other universities have implemented similar programs, such as Aggieland. |
Be It Further Resolved That | The UTA official logo be displayed on at least one side of each water tower in the city. |
