Remarks | IMPLEMENTED - The contest did not happen, but the 2005-06 Program Director designed a new logo that was implemented. His name is Zach Walker, and he is the best Program Director EVER!!! |
Whereas | Many student governments across the country have easily recognizable logos, such as the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, Purdue University, and New York University; and |
Whereas | Student Congress does not officially have its own logo; and |
Whereas | The Student Governance seal is too often mistaken as a Student Congress logo; and |
Whereas | A progressive logo would increase awareness of the benefits of Student Congress. |
Be It Further Resolved That | A contest is held, beginning March 31st and ending on April 30th , with an allocated grand prize of $125 in Mav Money; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | The contest will create a Student Congress Logo. The Student Governance seal will not be replaced; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | The winner will be chosen by an ad hoc committee to be determined by the end of the contest, and the committee reserves the right to not pick a winner; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | Members of Student Congress are ineligible to participate in this contest in order to stimulate participation from outside of Student Congress; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | The winner of the contest will waive his/her rights to the logo, and it will become the property of the Student Governance Office. |
