Remarks FAILED. Most of the issues have already been addressed. The dean was not aware of the issues before this resolution was drafted.
Whereas The halls in the Social Work Building are drab and dull; and
Whereas Classrooms in the Social Work building are outfitted with out-of-date chalkboards; and
Whereas The light fixtures are out of date and do not provide enough light in the classrooms; many are broken, have no covers, or show exposed wiring; ceiling tiles are falling throughout the building; and
Whereas Student desks are not adult-sized and do not provide enough writing space; and
Whereas The door to the women's restroom on the second floor of building A is not secure, has large spacings between the door and the doorframe, and does not provide significant privacy; and
Whereas The toilets in the Social Work complex are child-sized and the toilet paper dispensers are out of date.
Be It Further Resolved That The halls be painted with a new, brighter paint.
Be It Further Resolved That The chalkboards be replaced with new dry-erase boards.
Be It Further Resolved That The light fixtures and ceiling tiles throughout the building be replaced and improved.
Be It Further Resolved That Student desks be replaced with modern student desks in all classrooms.
Be It Further Resolved That The door to the women's restroom on the second floor of building A be remodeled.
Be It Further Resolved That The toilets be replaced with adult-sized toilets and the toilet paper dispensers be replaced with modern dispensers.
