Whereas | The UTA library has sent out a memo suggesting that the library hours be cut back due to budget cuts; and |
Whereas | Student Congress resolution 92-11 has been proposed to extend the current library hours; and |
Whereas | The issue of changing the UTA library hours needs to be made with consideration of the opinion of the UTA student population. |
Be It Further Resolved That | Student Congress place the following referendums on the Spring 1992 ballot: "The UTA library had the audacity to send out a memo to propose cutting back the library hours. The library officials claim they do not have enough money; maybe because they bought a leather couch on the 6th floor. As a UTA student (who will pay the same amount of fees if passed), do you favor the proposal to cut back the UTA library hours?" _____YES _____NO "If the proposal to cut back the library hours fails, would you like to see the library officials get off their leather couch and do some work by extending the UTA library hours?" _____YES _____NO |
