Whereas | There is a great concern among the students of the Brazos Dorm about the availability fo food in the University Center; and |
Whereas | Many students who live in the dorms have a meal card and cannot use it when the food establishments are closed on the weekends; and |
Whereas | The Corral is open Sat. & Sun. from 11 am to 5 pm, however doem residents cite numerous complaints about food quality; and |
Whereas | No food establishments in the University Center are open on the weekends, with the exception of the nutritious vending machines. |
Be It Further Resolved That | The Grillworks food establishment in the University Center be open Sat. from 11 am to 2pm for lunch and Sat. from 6 pm to 9 pm for dinner, and Sunday from 11am to 2pm for lunch and Sunday from 6 pm to 9 pm for a 30-day trial period; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | From a cost standpoint, if it is proven that students are not taking advantage of this opportunity, the policy of being closed on Sat. and Sun. be put back into place; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | That ARA publicize the trial hours to the residents of Brazos Dorm and Lipscomb Hall to make the best use of this opportunity. |
