Whereas | Recent publications have ranked UTA at the lower end as a quality institution; and |
Whereas | UTA needs to remove the label as "a college of last resort;" and |
Whereas | UTA could improve the academic excellence of its students by removing the students who dilute the system and may not be able to succeed here in the first place; and |
Whereas | By removing these students, this would free up more time for the professors to teach class at a tempo conducive to adequate learning; and |
Whereas | The proposal before the Undergraduate Assembly is not just an "Admissions Upgrade" but a comprehensive academic proposal that has been unfairly painted as a radical piece of legislation. |
Be It Further Resolved That | UTA adopt the admissions proposal before the undergraduate assembly in order to increase the academic relationship of UTA and the worth of a degree attained here. |
