Whereas | Most students agree that individuals should perform academically before membership in extra curricular activity is allowed; and |
Whereas | The current GPA requirement for Student Congress is a 2.0 (which is nothing to brag about); and |
Whereas | Those proposing and voting on student and campus policies should maintain at least a mid-C GPA. |
Be It Further Resolved That | Student Congress increase its minimum GPA from 2.0 to 2.25; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | Those students for higher offices (i.e. SC President) be required to have a 2.5 GPA minimum when running for office (current requirement is 2.25); and |
Be It Further Resolved That | This would not affect those currently on Student Congress, it would begin with the elections in the fall of 1992. |
