Whereas | Student Congress is a powerful organization requiring experienced leadership; and |
Whereas | The current requirements for running for the Student Congress President's office include serving for a semester on Student Congress; and |
Whereas | This is not sufficient time for a person to fully learn all aspects of Student Congress procedures, or the responsibilities of the President's office. |
Be It Further Resolved That | In order for a student to run for the office of Student Congress President, he or she must serve for at least two (2) full semesters as a Student Congress Representative; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | These semesters need not to be served consecutively; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | This resolution takes effect immediately. |
