Whereas Student Congress is a powerful organization requiring experienced leadership; and
Whereas The current requirements for running for the Student Congress President's office include serving for a semester on Student Congress; and
Whereas This is not sufficient time for a person to fully learn all aspects of Student Congress procedures, or the responsibilities of the President's office.
Be It Further Resolved That In order for a student to run for the office of Student Congress President, he or she must serve for at least two (2) full semesters as a Student Congress Representative; and
Be It Further Resolved That These semesters need not to be served consecutively; and
Be It Further Resolved That This resolution takes effect immediately.
