Whereas | With the exception of the Student Congress President and Vice President positions, the executive committee consists of Student Congress members voted into their positions by their peers in Student Congress; and |
Whereas | Each position on the executive committee is integral to the proper functioning of Student Congress; and |
Whereas | The loss of any one executive in the midst of Student Congress' session is detrimental to the effectiveness of Student Congress; and |
Whereas | Executives are no longer considered representatives of their colleges after becoming executives, but representatives of Student Congress as a whole |
Be It Further Resolved That | Members of the executive committee forfeit their positions as representatives only in cases where a general election is lost in the middle of their term, and retain their executive position; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | Said executive committee members keep all privileges afforded their positions, with the exception of voting rights; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | This resolution takes effect immediately. |
