Whereas | There is a week before finals designated as Final Review Week; and |
Whereas | Many professors continue to teach new material and/or schedule tests during this time, which is, on many occasions, not mentioned in the syllabus or is a result of professors falling behind schedule; and |
Whereas | Students often struggle to learn new material when they need to devote time studying strictly for finals since these exams can be as much as 50% of the grade. |
Be It Further Resolved That | A break immediatley prior to finals be added during which no classes or activities are scheduled; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | A prospective time period be 2 to 3 days. |
