Remarks | FAILED - President Witt said in a memo dated December 31, 1999, that it would create a "barber pole" image not "consistent with our efforts to enhance the attractiveness of our campus." |
Whereas | The Ambassadors spend approximately $150 a year on supplies to decorate the light poles in the Library Mall area; and |
Whereas | There are 70 poles in this area and it is very time consuming for Ambassadors and other volunteers to decorate these poles; and |
Whereas | Pole decorating will be a continuing tradition at UTA; and |
Whereas | Painting the poles helps create a sense of campus unity year round. |
Be It Further Resolved That | UTA paint the Library Mall light poles blue and white to show that UTA has school spirit; and |
Be It Further Resolved That | This take effect immediately after passage. |
