Whereas | Constituency councils are made up of students that were directly responsible for electing each Student Congress senator; and |
Whereas | It is our duty as Student Congress senator to truly represent the desires of these students; and |
Whereas | We cannot represent the desires of the students that have elected us if we do not talk to them; and |
Whereas | The students who elect us as senators have every right to know how well we have represented them; and |
Whereas | The Constitution for the Student Community of the University of Texas at Arlington states one primary purpose of Student Congress is 'to provide for an effective means of communication between various parts of our college community'. |
Be It Further Resolved That | The record of each senator's constituency council attendance or monthly contact via phone/email with CC President be posted on the Student Governance bulletin board where senator voting records are currently posted. To be recorded by the Student Congress Parliamentarian. |
