‘UTA gave me confidence in my design career’
The University of Texas at Arlington is ranked among the top schools in the nation to learn graphic design, according to the latest rankings from Animation Career Review.
In the eighth annual Graphic Design School rankings, UT Arlington is:
- No. 32 nationally among public schools and colleges
- No. 8 in the Southwest
- No. 5 in Texas
“UTA’s design program develops some of the best designers in the industry,” said UTA alumna Cynthia De La Torre Castro (’15 BFA, Visual Communication), a senior designer at a global independent digital company. “With amazing professors, engaging classes, and diverse classrooms, UTA crafted my design skills and gave me confidence in my design career.”
Animation Career Review is an online resource for aspiring animators, game designers, graphic designers, digital artists and more. The criteria used for the rankings include academic reputation, admission selectivity, employment data and graduation rates. The rankings provide students and parents accessible information to make informed decisions when choosing universities and programs.

These approaches prepare our students to make professional contributions far into the future, even as technical skillsets evolve.”
