Greetings,

The University of Texas at Arlington faced the challenges of February’s unusual winter storm with typical Maverick ingenuity, working around the clock to maintain and restore essential services to our community so we could get back to teaching and learning as quickly as possible.

The same approach has served us well over the last year. Time and again our students, faculty, staff, and alumni have met the moment. You can read one such example in the story of how thousands of Mavericks have stepped up during the COVID-19 pandemic to serve their communities in a time of great need.

In the meantime, the University prepares for a better tomorrow, whether it’s by breaking ground on a new $76 million facility that will serve as a home to train and teach the next generation of social workers and health care professionals or by improving Texas infrastructure through studying the impact of space weather and solar-induced phenomena on our electrical power grid.

We’re proud to be among the nation’s leaders in educating a diverse student body and providing some of the best online programs in education and nursing of any university in Texas.

Your support of our research, teaching and service is building a better Texas, and I thank you for it.

Sincerely,

Teik C. Lim signature
