Greetings,
Recognition comes in many forms, and it reached UTA through rankings, grants, and successful endeavors recently.
UTA was named to the Transfer Honor Roll by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for our support of transfer students. We are one of just three public universities in Texas to make the list. Also, three engineering programs and our nursing program climbed the rankings of best graduate schools, according to the most recent U.S. News & World Report. This leading ranking authority also acknowledged UTA’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program and our online nursing master’s program.
UTA was awarded a $750,000 grant to support students whose career or education plans were impacted by the pandemic. Funding will address reskilling and upskilling needs for students returning to the workforce and help students who left school return to complete their degrees.
In research, it is worth noting that an engineering research team successfully developed of an automotive engine oil additive that reduces harmful emissions.
Finally, Bryan Samuel was selected as our inaugural vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion. His leadership will help ensure UTA becomes a nationally recognized, multicultural university where inclusive excellence is an integral part of all we do.
I am extremely proud of UTA’s robust history of recognition, and there is no doubt that more accolades will roll in as Mavericks continue to learn, research, and innovate in the years ahead.
Sincerely,
|
