Cookies with Cowley, a meet and greet with UTA President Jennifer Cowley, features signature cookies noon-1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, in the Palo Duro Lounge of the University Center. Pizza and beverages will be served. Attendees will have an opportunity to take pictures with the president at a photobooth.

Bank of America announced a $25,000 gift to UTA’s Veteran’s Edge program. Run by senior-level military-connected peer mentors through the Office of Military and Veteran Services, the program supports new military-connected students with various resources.

|
A panel of speakers will discuss their experiences with the AIDS epidemic at Preserving LGBTQ+ History: The Legacy of the AIDS Memorial Quilt 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, in the sixth floor parlor of the Central Library. The quilt is on display in the sixth floor 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 29.

Apply for Federal Student Loan Debt Relief

Students can apply for Federal Student Loan Debt Relief through Dec. 31, 2023.
The program provides eligible borrowers with full or partial discharge of loans up to $20,000 for Federal Pell Grant recipients and up to $10,000 for non-Pell Grant recipients.

The School of Social Work hosts its annual Fall Harvest & Trunk-or-Treat 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, in lot 49. The drive-thru event for faculty, staff, and students features candy and food for those who need it from Tarrant Area Food Bank. Costumes are encouraged.

Get ready for Homecoming events
|
UTA student organizations are teaming up with businesses for Decorate Downtown—Homecoming 2022 to decorate storefronts for Homecoming Week. Student groups and businesses must sign up by Monday, Oct. 31, to compete for the People's Choice Award and the Judges' Choice Award.
Want to show off your student organization’s UTA spirit in a sidewalk chalk competition? Sign up by Friday, Nov. 4. Join us Monday, Nov. 7, for this Homecoming event to unleash your organization’s creative abilities and compete for cash prizes.
Register your team for the annual Homecoming Chili Cook-Off on Wednesday, Nov. 9. Teams will compete to win the ultimate prize of Chili Cook-Off champion, bragging rights, and an awesome trophy. Open to all UTA, students, faculty, staff, and alumni groups.
Be part of the annual Homecoming Parade, set for 5:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, down Spaniolo Drive along the College Park District. This year's theme is "Once Upon a Maverick."
