Maverick Pantry provides more than food
|
The official opening of the Maverick Pantry showed off the home where students can find food, toiletries, clothing, and more. The pantry is located at 520 S. Center St.—at the First Street intersection next to Wells Fargo—in the College Park District.
The pantry received support from Kroger with a five-year, $250,000 commitment. The gift will help with ongoing operational costs, such as expenses for products, staffing, programming, and outreach.

Gut microbe research
|
Students and faculty are needed for a six-week study on fermented soybeans and gut health. Participants will earn $300, paid in increments. The study is led by Woo-Suk Chang, associate professor of biology. Read more details and complete the participation application.

- July 21—Last day to drop classes for 11-week term; submit requests to advisor prior to 4 p.m.
- Aug. 1—Last day to drop classes for second five-week term and second seven-week term; submit requests to advisor prior to 4 p.m.
- Aug. 10—Last day of classes for 14-week term, 11-week term, and second five-week term.
- Aug. 11—Final exams for second five-week term and second seven-week term.
- Aug. 11-12—Final exams for 14-week term and 11-week term.
- Aug. 13—Commencement ceremony.
