Student non-payment process
|
Starting this fall, UTA will no longer drop students from courses for non-payment. Instead, students automatically will be placed on a payment plan to allow them to remain enrolled. The process does not apply to Accelerated Online programs. Read the announcement.

Early voting at MAC
|
Early voting for the May 7 constitutional and joint elections will be at the Maverick Activities Center 8 a.m.-5 p.m. through Friday, April 29; 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, April 20; 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, May 1; and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, May 2-3.

Virtual support clinic
|
Students and faculty at the School of Social Work came up with a solution to meet student needs both in and out of the classroom. The Social Work Virtual Clinic offers virtual support groups led by graduate students for fellow Mavericks in need of counseling.

Be prepared for track meet parking
|
Parking on the west campus will be affected by two track meets Tuesday-Friday, April 26-29, at Maverick Stadium.
Parking lots used for the meets are lots 25 (intramural fields), 26 (Maverick Stadium), and 27 (Studio Arts Center). Overflow parking will go to lot 29 (Greek housing), Arbor Oaks/University Village and GR lots, and possibly lot 30 (tennis courts).
Active permit holders can continue to use these parking lots until they fill to capacity, which is expected to occur late morning. At that point, permit holders will need to seek an alternative parking location.
Remote Park and Ride permit holders may park in any blue or yellow student commuter parking lot during these events. UTA shuttles will continue to operate for students and employees.

|
The Department of Philosophy and Humanities and the University Classics Club sponsors the long-running UTA tradition of the Homerathon, a day-long reading of Homer's Odyssey 7 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, on the University Center mall. Volunteer to read.

Survivor Ally virtual training is designed to assist faculty and staff in how to support students who identify as victims/survivors of sexual and/or relationship violence. The session is at noon Thursday, April 28.

Women's tennis team comes in second at SBC
|
UTA's women's tennis team put in a good fight, but came in second against South Alabama for the 2022 title at the Sun Belt Conference Championship in Peachtree City, Ga.
The Mavericks end the season with a program record 23 wins, while making their first trip to the SBC Championship since 2015.

|
UT Arlington women's golf team tied for eighth place in the Sun Belt Conference Championship from LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. Junior Heidrun Hlynsdottir tied for second place after Monday's play.

SBC tennis honors
|
Sun Belt Conference honors for Maverick women's tennis include Diego Benitez, Coach of the Year; Sarina Reinertsen, Freshman of the Year; Liz Chileno, Singles All-Conference First Team; and Reinertsen and Tara Gorinse, Second Team. Men's tennis player Alan Sau Franco was named to SBC's First Team Singles All-Conference.

Campus picnic to welcome new president
|
Join UTA students, faculty, and staff for a special barbecue lunch and a chance to welcome UTA's 10th president, Jennifer Cowley, to the Maverick family. A campus-wide picnic will be 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, at Brazos Park.
Vegetarian options will be available.
In case of inclement weather, the picnic will be held in the Bluebonnet Ballroom inside the E.H. Hereford University Center.

RA-PO-01 Misconduct in Research Policy—This policy was updated to clarify roles and responsibilities for investigating alleged research misconduct.
SL-FA-PR-01 Scholarships Procedure—This new procedure is the result of a taskforce’s work to create a more uniform scholarship award process and is applicable to all UTA scholarships.
