Homecoming returns to Maverick Country
|
At UTA, Homecoming means friends, floats, and fun. The annual celebration returns to campus this year, with students, alumni, and the UTA community coming home to celebrate UT Arlington history and traditions. UTA Homecoming festivities will take place Monday-Sunday, Nov. 8-14.
Be ready for events Monday, Nov. 8, including Chalk the Mall and Paint Your Ride with Maverick Pride.
There's still time to register to compete in the Chili Cook-Off and Homecoming 5K.
There are basketball games, a parade, and a street festival on Saturday, Nov. 13.

Native American Heritage
|
November is Native American Heritage Month, and UT Arlington is marking the occasion by celebrating the culture, accomplishments, and contributions of the continent’s Indigenous peoples.

Tier One Celebration
|

Export controls discussion
|
Graduate students can join the Office of Regulatory Services for a virtual discussion on export controls in research 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11. Topics include the essentials of export controls, compliance, mitigating personal risk, and more.

Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine clinic at MAC
|
UTA has two more on-campus vaccine clinics to give you and your family convenient, free access to the Pfizer vaccine. This includes first and second doses for all individuals 12 years and older and booster doses for eligible individuals.
Clinics will be held on a walk-in-only basis 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Group Exercise Room (101B) in the Maverick Activities Center. The clinics are Wednesday, Nov. 17; and Wednesday, Dec. 1.
If you’ve been vaccinated, check the CDC’s guidelines for booster shots to see if you’re eligible and if you should make plans to get one.

Texas Autocross Saturday
|
UTA’s 20th annual Texas Autocross competition will feature about 35 student-built racecars from universities across the country competing Saturday, Nov. 6. The competition starts at 9 a.m. on Lot 49.

Help a local child with clothing, shoes, and toys through the Salvation Army Angel Tree. Stop by the Follett Student Leadership Center or email utavolunteers@uta.edu for more information on adopting an angel. Adoptions close Wednesday, Nov. 17.

Students graduating in December 2021 should complete the Undergraduate Exit Survey, available through Canvas. Responses are confidential. Eligible students will receive invites from gradteam@uta.edu.
