Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine clinic at MAC
|
The FDA-approved Pfizer vaccine, including both initial doses and booster doses for eligible individuals, will be available on campus 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, in the Group Exercise Room (101B) in the Maverick Activities Center. No appointment is needed.
The clinic is open and free of charge to all UTA students, employees, and their family members 12 years and older. Two more clinics will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17, and Wednesday, Dec. 1.
If you’ve been vaccinated, check the CDC’s guidelines for booster shots to see if you’re eligible and if you should make plans to get one.

COVID-19 testing site moves
|
The Curative COVID‑19 testing site in the University Center has moved to the Carlisle Suite on the second floor. This location is recommended for employees and students without COVID‑19 symptoms seeking proactive testing or required testing.
Appointments are required, but can be made onsite as a walk-in if availability allows.

UTA, Lockheed Martin create work program
|
Students can receive valuable hands-on learning opportunities to advance their academic and career goals through a new work experience partnership between UTA and Lockheed Martin.
The UTA College Work Experience Program will make up to $5.2 million available for eligible students to gain real-world employment skills by holding paid positions at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Grand Prairie.
Coordinated by UTA’s Lockheed Martin Career Development Center, the program aims to hire 75 students in the first year and expand to 300 students by the third year. Students from all disciplines may apply.

|
Drop off your pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns at the UTA Compost Site so they can be composted and used to enrich the plants and landscape on our campus. The event is 3-4 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 2-Wednesday, Nov. 3. Volunteer to help.

|
Students graduating in December 2021 should complete the Undergraduate Exit Survey, available through Canvas. Responses are confidential. Eligible students will receive invites from gradteam@uta.edu.
