Oncor Electric will require a temporary electrical outage to complete switching activities on one of the electrical feeders serving the campus. The outage will begin at approximately midnight tonight until early morning Thursday, Sept. 30.
The outages are expected to last for approximately 10 minutes each, and will affect Arlington Hall, CAPPA, College of Business, Chemistry and Physics, College Hall, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Engineering Lab Building, Fine Arts Building, Nanofab Building, Nedderman Hall, SEIR Building, Woolf Hall, the construction site for School of Social Work building, and lighting in Lots 49 and 50
Buildings with emergency back-up generators will be maintained throughout this outage to power crucial services. Staff from the Electric Shop and HVAC Shop will be on campus to ensure building systems are operating correctly once power is restored.
To prevent possible data loss, please save any computer work in progress. Also, turn off all electronic equipment including computers, scanners, and copiers; they do not need to be unplugged.
