Teams features deployment

Maverick Meal Kits

Maverick Meal Kits offer one menu Monday-Wednesday, another Wednesday-Friday, and both on Wednesday. Go to What's On The Menu, click on the location, and scroll down. Orders must be placed at least two hours in advance. Call 817-272-2304.

Bookstore to close for inventory

The UTA Bookstore will be closed noon Friday, Feb. 12, to 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, for inventory. The website is open 24/7 at utashop.com.

Know Your Status. Proactive COVID-19 testing is free for students. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:30-4:30 p.m., Arlington Hall Great Room.  Participation is voluntary, and results are confidential. If you need a test due to symptoms or need a test on a date other than Tuesday or Thursday, please call 817-272-2771 for an appointment.

Free COVID-19 diagnostic, proactive testing

Proactive screening tests for COVID-19 are available on campus 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at the Maverick Activities Center and 12:30-4:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at Arlington Hall.

Students can schedule appointments at https://mavcare.uta.edu. The testing location will be confirmed when you schedule your appointment. Test results are available in 24-48 hours.

Students with COVID-19 symptoms or who need a test on a day other than Tuesday or Thursday due to COVID-19 exposure should call 817-272-2771 to schedule a consultation with a health center medical provider. If you are experiencing symptoms, please do not utilize the proactive surveillance testing sessions.

For COVID-19 testing sites available after-hours and on weekends, please visit the Texas COVID-19 Test Collection Site Locator. In the event of a medical emergency, call 911 and inform the dispatcher of COVID-19 concerns.

Register to receive free COVID-19 vaccine

Arlington resident Shirley Adams shares her thoughts and experience of receiving the free COVID-19 vaccine. A breast cancer survivor, she encourages everyone to receive the vaccine.

Register to receive the vaccine with the Tarrant County Health Department or another North Texas public health department.

UTA employees and students are strongly encouraged to participate in COVID-19 vaccinations when available in their community and to monitor corresponding county public health websites for more information regarding eligibility and availability.

Important dates

  • Feb. 9—Last day to drop classes for first five-week term; submit requests to advisor prior to 4 p.m.
  • Feb. 19—Last day of classes for first five-week term.
  • Feb. 22—Final exams for first five-week term.
  • Feb. 24—Last day to drop classes for first eight-week term; submit requests to advisor prior to 4 p.m.
  • Feb. 28—Registration ends for second five-week term.
  • March 11—Last day of classes for first eight-week term.
  • March 12—Final exams for first eight-week term.
  • March 15-20—Spring Break.

Counseling and Psychological Services offers counseling sessions and workshops. To schedule an appointment, call 817-272-3671.

Emergency Assistance Fund can help students experiencing a temporary financial hardship.

Health Services provides COVID-19 testing, flu shots, and other health services. Do not go to the center if you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19; first call 817-272-2771.
