The city of Arlington has notified residents and The University of Texas at Arlington campus to boil water before consumption, due to high demand and a possible water main break in the city.
All individuals who are on campus or live in Arlington should boil water for at least 5 minutes and then allow it to cool completely before using it for drinking water, brushing their teeth, cooking, washing their hands, etc. You may notice reduced water pressure until the situation is resolved.
Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all residents should follow these directions.
UTA will update our campus community when more information is available.
