Arlington RAPID autonomous vehicle

Free rides for students

A UT Arlington team partnered with the city of Arlington to help launch a new public transportation pilot program in downtown Arlington and on UTA’s campus that features autonomous vehicles.

During the initial phase, Arlington RAPID (Rideshare, Automation, and Payment Integration Demonstration) will offer free rides for UT Arlington students.

Study Abroad Success Series

The Study Abroad Success Series prepares students for meaningful interaction with the world around them. Sessions are at 3 p.m. Mondays via Teams. The next is “Smart Budgeting: Dollars and Euros and Yen, Oh My!” Monday, Oct. 12.

Connect with employers

Mavs on Site Goes Online will give you the opportunity to virtually engage with companies and learn about internships, industries, professionalism, and more. Submit your application by noon Friday, Oct. 9.

Market opens in Central Library

The Market will open on the second floor 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday with Caribou Coffee, sandwiches, snacks, drinks, and more. All items are Dining Dollar friendly. Einstein Bros. Bagels in the Central Library will close Monday, Oct. 12.

Maverick Cafe pick-up only

The Maverick Cafe will only be offered through Grubhub pick-up. The new hours are 5-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday. See the hours for all campus dining locations.

  • Oct. 20—Last day of classes for first eight-week term
  • Oct. 21—Final exams for first eight-week term; registration ends for second eight-week term

  • Oct. 22-23—Late registration
  • Oct. 26—Last day to drop classes for second five-week term; submit requests to advisor prior to 4 p.m.
  • Oct. 29—Census date for second eight-week term

The Fall 2020 Recreation Movement is about staying active together even when we’re socially distanced. All UTA students, faculty, and staff are able to participate in this free program along with more than 100 university communities.

Pups to pet at library

Only a few spots are still open to get your fill of fluffy fun with therapy dogs outside of the Central Library noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7. Register for your time slot.

Hot air balloon history

Make history with this miniature hot air balloon workshop. Kits are available at the Central Library while supplies last. Streaming live is at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8.

Theatre Arts streaming

UTA student playwrights present Heal the Divide On and Off Campus: Original Student Plays, an on-demand stream Friday-Sunday, Oct. 9-11. Tickets are $5 plus fees.
