Black Heritage Celebration
|
UTA's Black Heritage Celebration day—Saturday, Feb. 1—features a screening of Fannie Lou Hamer’s America, a documentary about the civil rights leader’s struggle in the 1960s, as well as a discussion with the filmmaker, a panel discussion on voting rights, and a variety of programs for youths.
The African American Faculty and Staff Association sponsors the event, along with the UTA Libraries and the Center for African American Studies.
