Spring Break is coming; UTA still open

Enjoy time off for Spring Break—Monday-Friday, March 11-15. Much of UTA will still be open for those who need to study, look for a job, grab a bite, or be entertained.

Most offices are open, including the University Advising Center; UTA Libraries, including the Fab Lab; Health Services; and the Lockheed Martin Career Development Center.

Dining Services has three locations open next week.

The Maverick Activities Center is open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Friday. See more Campus Rec hours below.

The Planetarium has shows to keep you entertained. See the schedule below.

Street work next week

Watch for street repairs Monday-Friday, March 11-15, on Greek Row at and near Summit Avenue and for closures on Nedderman from Cooper to the information booth by Davis Hall and on Speer Street from Mitchell Street to Sixth Street.

Bed Races are coming

Flashback to '90s cartoons like Rugrats and Animaniacs for this year's Bed Races at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Maverick Stadium. Read more.

New VPN program debuts

On Monday, March 18, the Office of Information Technology will introduce a new virtual private network (VPN), Pulse Secure. Read more.

MAC spring break

Planetarium tickets online

The UTA Planetarium now offers online ticket sales. Tickets for shows can be purchased up to seven days in advance. Look for the gift shop to be online soon.

UTA baseball at Globe Life Park

Watch the Mavericks take on TCU at Globe Life Park 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19. Students can claim two free tickets.

MyMav maintenance

MyMav will be unavailable from midnight Saturday, March 23, to noon Sunday, March 24. More information will be on uta.edu/mymav during the maintenance.

Volunteer for The Big Event

Choose your project for the day of community service, The Big Event, 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 6. Volunteer opportunities are available at 100 sites in Arlington and around Dallas and Tarrant counties. Read more.
