Be prepared for detours, alternative parking this summer for construction projects

Expect some road closures and parking adjustments related to campus construction projects this summer.

West Street between South Nedderman Drive and Fourth Street will be closed all summer to install a water line for the Science and Engineering Innovation and Research (SEIR) building.

Other campus construction projects near the Central Library and Life Science building will keep Planetarium Place closed all summer. Motorcycle parking and ADA parking have been relocated to the Maverick Garage.

Asphalt repair and restriping of Lot 36 near the Social Work complex will occur through Friday, June 2. A small portion of the lot will remain available during construction. Alternative student parking is in Lot 34 or the College Park garages.

Cooper Chase apartments will permanently close Monday, July 31. The lot will remain closed through demolition of the building. The area will be used to expand Lot 34 during the fall semester.

The southern half of the new west campus parking garage is expected to open in mid-August. The northern half will open during winter break. LEARN MORE.
