Tickets available now for Fareed Zakaria
|
Economic and political columnist Fareed Zakaria wraps up the Maverick Speakers Series season with "The Politics and Culture of the Global Economy" 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, at College Park Center.
Zakaria is widely respected for his thoughtful analysis and ability to spot economic and political trends. He is host of Fareed Zakaria GPS, CNN’s Peabody Award-winning flagship international affairs program, contributing editor at The Atlantic, and a Washington Post columnist. His latest book, In Defense of a Liberal Education, debuted at No. 6 on the New York Times best-seller list.
VIP packages include a private dinner and photograph with the speaker. Preferred seating has front-of-the-line access to the venue. The lecture is free for students, faculty, and staff and costs $5 for community members.

Food Pantry aids students; donations needed
|
The UTA Food Panty provides students a mixture of non-perishable foods to supplement their monthly food costs.
If you are in need of food, fill out the online application at least 24 hours before the distribution. Paper applications can be filled out the day of the event.
The next distribution date is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the Follet Student Leadership Center in B160 of the E.H. Hereford University Center.
Donations will be accepted 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at the Health Fair in the Bluebonnet Ballroom, University Center. LEARN MORE.
