The University of Texas at Arlington marks another milestone with the formal inauguration of President Jennifer Cowley. Dr. Cowley is UTA's first female president and 10th president overall.
All faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members are invited to the event at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at College Park Center. An RSVP is appreciated but not required.
The tradition of an inauguration, also called an investiture, officially marks the beginning of a new leader’s administration. The investiture includes a procession of UTA faculty and staff, delegates from other colleges and universities, community leaders and partners, and other honored guests.
Celebrate with fellow Mavericks at the festival reception on Spaniolo Drive immediately following the inauguration.
Know before you go about free parking locations and College Park Center's clear bag policy and list of prohibited items, like large signs or tripods.
Send a message of well wishes to President Cowley for her investiture and beyond and share what you hope to see UTA accomplish with her at the helm.
Visit the investiture website for more details about attending the event.
