Learn about helping students live by UTA's Honor Code with the Faculty Guide to Academic Integrity.

The brochure covers how to promote honesty, prevent violations, and address misconduct, and discusses the disciplinary process.

Debunking myths

Daniel Robinson, professor and associate dean of research in the College of Education, guides students to an understanding of education myths and teaches thorough research methods so they can evaluate and debunk such myths.

UTA, esports recruit

The U.S. State Department is using UT Arlington and the prominence of its esports program to encourage international students to come to the United States for their higher education needs.

Faculty Creative Works

Faculty Creative Works returns to celebrate the works from 2019, 2020, and 2021. All faculty are invited to attend 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in the sixth floor parlor of the Central Library.

Share how you serve UTA's Hispanic community

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is collecting information about programs and initiatives focused on serving the Hispanic community at UTA.

DEI invites you to help us identify any programming you are directly involved with. This will help UTA pursue strategic opportunities and highlight initiatives supporting our Hispanic students, faculty, and staff.

The deadline to complete the short form is Friday, April 29.

Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid is a virtual workshop to help you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. The event is 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday, April 8. Register; attendance is limited.

JCPenney Suit-Up Event

Faculty and staff can take advantage of discounts via the JCPenney Suit-Up Event. The shopping bargains are online through Friday, April 8.

The Big Event

Faculty and staff can participate in The Big Event on Saturday, April 9, which includes 40 community service projects. A celebration for volunteers is 1-3 p.m. with complimentary lunch, entertainment, and activities.

FANS cohort date change

The 2022 cohort of the Faculty Advisory Network on Sustainability, hosted by the Office of Sustainability, begins on a new date. The workshop is Wednesday-Thursday, June 1-2. Sign up for the FANS cohort. For questions, contact Meghna Tare at mtare@uta.edu.

Policy changes

EI-PO-04 Non-Discrimination Policy—Changes made to clarify threshold for harassment.

GA-UA-PO-01 The University Policy—This policy was updated as part of a regularly scheduled review. The University mission and related sections were updated.

GA-UA-PO-04 Duties of Administrative Officers Policy—This policy was updated to address missing positions and responsibilities.

GA-UA-PO-05 Policy for Naming Buildings and Other Facilities—This policy was updated to comply with Regents Rules to limit naming buildings in honor of an individual and require philanthropic gifts for naming buildings.

HR-E-PO-06 Classified Positions Pay Plan Policy—This new policy replaced HR-E-PR-02 and requires that UTA maintain a pay plan for classified positions.

HR-E-PR-36 Timeclock Procedure—This procedure discusses the process for using TCP (Timeclock Plus), reporting hours, and requesting and approving time off.

Grandmother of Juneteenth

Opal Lee, the Grandmother of Juneteenth and nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize, will speak on the National Juneteenth Museum coming to Fort Worth 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, in the Fine Arts Building. The event will be livestreamed.

Electronic waste recycling

Bring your batteries, old electronics, toner cartridges, and other electronic waste to the e-waste recycling drive 2-4 p.m. Thursday, April 14, on the west side of the UC mall.

Faculty and staff are needed for Maverick Dining focus group sessions Tuesday-Wednesday, April 12-13. All participants will receive a voucher for a free combo meal at select locations. Complimentary snacks and beverages will be provided as well.
