Early voting at MAC

Early voting for the March 1 primary elections will be at the Maverick Activities Center 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, Feb. 14-18; 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20; and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, Feb. 22-25. The poll is closed Monday, Feb. 21.

Native American land

Through a Native American Land Acknowledgement statement, UTA is formally recognizing its campus’ historic ties to Indigenous peoples.

Driveway closure

Starting today, Monday, Feb. 14, the drive between the College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs building and Campus Center will be closed for a roof replacement on the former.

CAAS conference: State of the Black Community

The Center for African American Studies’ 10th annual conference is focused on the State of the Black Community. The conference, which includes two keynote addresses and two panel discussions, is Thursday, Feb. 17.

Faculty sustainability cohort organizing

The Office of Sustainability is requesting applications for the 2022 cohort of the Faculty Advisory Network on Sustainability.

The cohort participants will look to integrate sustainability in teaching, curriculum development, service learning, and faculty research. The cohort workshop is Wednesday-Thursday, May 18-19.

UTA, Downtown bike survey

Give your feedback on bicycle infrastructure, behavior, amenities, and services on campus and Downtown Arlington. Results will be used in the creation of a well-connected and safe bike network in Arlington.

A self-paced video series for employees and managers provides guidance on how to navigate ePerformance to complete the performance evaluation process. The videos are available on Canvas.

'A Tribute to Nurses'

Join the UTA Libraries Special Collections and the College of Nursing and Health Innovation for A Tribute to Nurses: UTA and Beyond, a special exhibit covering the history of nursing.

The exhibit is now open on the sixth floor of UTA Libraries and dedicated to all the nurses who have served on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. A community reception is at 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 3.

'Echoes from the Hill'

Echoes from the Hill is a multi-episode history series telling the largely forgotten story of Arlington's Black past being developed by Arlington's Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee. UTA is a supporter of the committee.

The full release of the film is expected in June.
