Required COVID-19 testing deadline Friday
|
The deadline for the COVID‑19 testing requirement has been extended to Friday, Feb. 11. Additional details are available on the COVID‑19 Testing Policy and Resources webpage.
Regardless of vaccination status, all students and employees coming to campus in any capacity for the spring semester must provide proof of a viral COVID‑19 test. On-campus tests are automatically reported to UTA. Off-campus test results must be uploaded to the COVID Self-Report portal in MyMav. Contact covidtesting@uta.edu with questions.
Numerous resources for free COVID‑19 testing are widely available.
Two free on-campus testing sites are offered. Testing for symptom-free individuals is in the Carlisle Suite of the University Center. Individuals with symptoms can be tested at the Curative site at 435 Spaniolo Drive. Appointments are required.

Gerontological chair
|
Barbara St. Pierre Schneider was appointed the Endowed Chair in Gerontological Nursing Excellence in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation, a position supported by the generosity of the Deerbrook Charitable Trust.

Kathy Lee, assistant professor of Social Work, has won the Faculty Achievement Award from the Association for Gerontology Education in Social Work.

Early voting at MAC
|
Early voting for the March 1 primary elections will be at the Maverick Activities Center 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, Feb. 14-18; 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20; and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, Feb. 22-25. The poll is closed Monday, Feb. 21.

CAPPA roof project to block driveway
|
Starting Monday, Feb. 14, the drive between College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs building and Campus Center will be closed for a roof replacement on the former.
A fenced pathway will be available for pedestrian access to West Nedderman Drive.
