Vaccine clinic for ages 5 and older, boosters for ages 16 and older Saturday at MAC
|
UTA has a free walk-in-only COVID‑19 vaccine clinic 10 a.m.- 3p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, in room 100B of the Maverick Activities Center.
The clinic offers first and second doses of the COVID‑19 vaccine to ages 5 and older, as well as booster doses for ages 16 and older. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are available at the clinic. A complete guide to booster eligibility is available through the CDC.
The clinic is open to UTA employees, students, and their dependents and family members.

Lot F8 resurfacing
|
Parking lot F8 by the Maverick Activities Center and P.E. building will closed for re-surfacing on Sunday, Dec. 12. Faculty and staff can use the Trinity Lot directly across the street. ADA parking spaces are in front of the Smart Hospital and Texas Hall.

|
UT Arlington has entered into a cooperative agreement with Danubius University Galati, an international research university located in Romania.

UTA part of Holiday Lights Parade
|
Bring your friends and family to downtown Arlington for the annual Holiday Lights Parade Saturday, Dec. 11. Entertainment begins at 3:30 p.m., with the parade starting at 6 p.m.
UTA's festive float will include UTA Interim President Teik and Gina Lim, along with a host of spirited students, followed by the UTA Marching Band.
The pageantry will end with the lighting of the Christmas tree on the steps of City Hall.
Another downtown holiday event is The Kringle Village at Knapp Heritage Park Friday-Sunday through Dec. 19.

Glass art sale preview
|
Faculty and staff will have a preview of the Annual Holiday Glass Sale 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 10, at the Studio Arts Center. On Saturday Dec. 11, the sale is open to the public 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The event will include live glassblowing demonstrations.

Holiday recycling nice and naughty lists
|
Recycling during the holiday season is a must, but even the most ardent recyclers need to know what belongs in that bin, what should be reused, and what, unfortunately, must go in the trash can.
UTA’s Sustainability Committee relied on the University’s recycling partner, Balcones Resources, to develop nice and naughty lists for holiday season recycling.
