COVID-19 vaccine clinic for ages 12 and older today at MAC
|
UTA has two COVID‑19 vaccine clinics planned, including one to administer the pediatric vaccine to children ages 5-11. These free walk‑in‑only clinics will be in the Maverick Activities Center and are open to UTA employees, students, and their dependents and family members.
The clinic for ages 12 and older is in Group Exercise Room 101B.
- Today, Wednesday, Dec. 1, until 2 p.m.
The clinic for ages 5 years and older is in room 100B.
- Saturday, Dec. 11, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
The clinics offer first and second doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, as well as booster doses for eligible individuals.

Take COVID-19 test after holiday
|
All Mavericks are encouraged to get tested after traveling or attending large gatherings over the Thanksgiving holiday. Make an appointment for the testing site in the Carlisle Suite in the University Center or in the College Park District.

|
Kenneth Roemer, professor emeritus of English, has won the unpublished book manuscript contest at the Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference.

Ana Aleksandric, a doctoral student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, received a one-year Technology Informatics Guiding Education Reform (TIGER) Scholars Informatics Internship.

Lot F8 resurfacing
|
Parking lot F8 by the Maverick Activities Center and P.E. building will close for re-surfacing on Sunday, Dec. 12. Faculty and staff can use the Trinity Lot directly across the street. ADA parking spaces are in front of the Smart Hospital and Texas Hall.

Faculty, staff get early look at glass art sale
|
Faculty and staff will have a preview of the Annual Holiday Glass Sale 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at the Studio Arts Center. Thousands of one-of-a-kind functional, decorative, and artistic works will be available for purchase.
On Saturday Dec. 11, the sale is open to the public 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The event also will include live glassblowing demonstrations.
