Homecoming returns to Maverick Country
|
At UTA, Homecoming means friends, floats, and fun. The annual celebration returns to campus this year, with students, alumni, and the UTA community coming home to celebrate UT Arlington history and traditions. UTA Homecoming festivities will take place Monday-Sunday, Nov. 8-14.
Be ready for events Monday, Nov. 8, including Chalk the Mall and Paint Your Ride with Maverick Pride.
There's still time to register to compete in the Chili Cook-Off and Homecoming 5K.
There are basketball games, a parade, and a street festival on Saturday, Nov. 13.

Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine clinic at MAC
|
The FDA-approved Pfizer vaccine, including both initial doses and booster doses for eligible individuals, will be available on campus Wednesday, Nov. 17, and Wednesday, Dec. 1, in the Group Exercise Room (101B) in the Maverick Activities Center. No appointment is needed.
The clinic is open and free of charge to all UTA students, employees, and their family members 12 years and older.
If you’ve been vaccinated, check the CDC’s guidelines for booster shots to see if you’re eligible and if you should make plans to get one.

COVID-19 testing site at UC moves
|
The Curative COVID‑19 testing site in the University Center has moved to the Carlisle Suite on the second floor. This location is recommended for employees and students without COVID‑19 symptoms seeking proactive testing or required testing.
Appointments are required, but can be made onsite as a walk-in if availability allows.
Faculty, staff, and students coming to any UTA campus in any capacity will be selected at random for mandatory COVID‑19 testing. Notifications will come from covidtesting@uta.edu.

November is Native American Heritage Month, and UT Arlington is marking the occasion by celebrating the culture, accomplishments, and contributions of the continent’s Indigenous peoples.
